Finishing and Superfinishing grinding wheels

Finishing and superfinishing wheels are abrasive wheels used for special applications in centerless grinding. They have special bond properties and are used for minimal removals in order to improve surface finish and workpiece geometry. A correct combination of bond type and fine abrasive grit sizes helps to obtain optimal roughness parameters at the end of the process. When employed correctly, very low surface roughness parameters can be obtained: Ra = 0,06-0,1 µm, Rt < 1,0 µm.
